Encouraging Women Today

A friend of mine sent me this prayer and I wanted to share it with you. Sometimes words do not come to explain to the Father what is in our hearts. May this prayer help you as it helped me.A PRAYER

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day.
I thank you for my being able to see
And to hear this morning.
I’m blessed because You are a forgiving God.
You have done so much for me,
And You keep on blessing me.

Forgive me this day for everything I have done,
said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to share this day with a new attitude and gratitude.

Let me make the best of each and every day.
Clear my mind so that I can hear from you.
Please broaden my mind,
THAT I CAN ACCEPT ALL THINGS.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control.
Give me the best response when I’m pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can’t pray,
You listen to my heart.
Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me, that I may be a blessing to others.

Keep me strong that I may help the weak.
KEEP ME UPLIFTED THAT I MAY HAVE WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT FOR OTHERS.

EVERY BATTLE IS IN YOUR HANDS FOR YOU TO FIGHT.
MAY I BE REMINDED OF THIS EVERY TIME I TRY TO FIGHT THE BATTLES MYSELF.

I ASK FOR YOUR WILL & PURPOSE TO UNFOLD IN MY LIFE SO THAT I MAY BE PLEASING IN YOUR SIGHT.

IN JESUS’ NAME AMEN!

“MY MOTHER SAID SO”

In my years as a young mother, it seemed “Time Management” was out of the question. I tried to get everything in, but many of you know the routine:

Up early to care for little ones.
Household duties: meals, laundry, cleaning, etc.
Church obligations: as a pastor’s wife I was on the phone and in meetings a lot.
Part-time teaching job
Unexpected emergencies
As “kids” grew, life got even more hectic

WHOEVER SCREAMED THE LOUDEST WAS ATTENDED TO!

My mother would call to check up on me. (J She would usually say: “Sharon, you’re wearing yourself thin, are you taking time to pray and read the Word?” My answer was always the same: “Mom, I don’t have time.” I would try, but life crowded this special time with God out.

Now 30 years later, I have time for this “special time with God”, and my heart is saddened because I missed out on so much in those early years. As I communicate now regularly to God, I find answers, peace and understanding. I know why Satan tries to convince us “there is no time”. He knows when we abide in Christ, He abides in us, everything falls into place and our understanding of all things comes into focus.

Are you ABIDING? John 14:13 comes alive when we abide. Do you have unanswered questions? DO YOU DOUBT GOD? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR VISION & HOPE? ARE YOU CONFUSED? ABIDE!

John 15 says: “LIVE IN ME. MAKE YOUR HOME IN ME JUST AS I DO IN YOU…YOU CAN’T PRODUCE A THING SEPARATED… WHEN YOU’RE JOINED WITH ME AND I WITH YOU, THE RELATION INTIMTE AND ORGANIC, THE HARVEST IS SURE TO BE ABUNDANT. IF YOU MAKE YOURSELVES AT HOME WITH ME AND MY WORDS ARE AT HOME IN YOU, YOU CAN BE SURE THAT WHATEVER YOU ASK WILL BE LISTENED TO AND ACTED ON.”(MESSAGE TRANSLATION)

The big result will be: when we abide, we WILL know God’s will. God’s plan for our lives WILL unfold and there WILL be peace & joy, as we become ONE WITH CHRIST.

FATHER: I PRAY THAT THE DESIRE IN ME- TO KNOW YOU- WILL COME TO FRUITION AS I FIND THAT TIME TO KNOW YOU. GIVE ME WISDOM & PERSERVANCE TO FIND THIS PRECIOUS TIME WITH YOU. In Jesus Name: Amen!
